SMALL & PERFECTLY FORMED
Standon Calling is a boutique music festival set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Celebrating its thirteenth year in 2018, the festival has come a long way since its birthday garden party beginnings. We know how to put on a festival and we are very proud of our wonderful audience who come back year after year. If you haven’t experienced Standon Calling, get ready to have a lot of fun among the friendliest festival crowd in the land.
Across four fun-filled days you’ll hear music from the acts you love and the very best in emerging talent. Savour incredible food, dance until the early hours, enjoy an abundance of family activities, lounge by the pool, luxuriate in a hot tub, relax with a massage, take in top comedy, be inspired by a talk, or learn something new at a workshop, prepare to be charmed by the annual dog show, show off your creative flair in a bid to win the coveted best fancy dress prize, and so much more.
Don’t leave your imagination at home. Each year we take the opportunity to tell a new story, a themed world comes to life as the festival unfolds across day and night. In the past we’ve told tales of Murder on the Standon Express, Gods and Monsters, Running Away from the Circus, A Town of Two Faces, The Legend of the Lost Seas and in 2017 it was the turn of Tales of the Enchanted Valley. Having explored so much over the past 12 years, where else could we look than into The Future, 2018’s much anticipated theme!
We have a history of providing some of the UK’s biggest stars a platform at the very start of their careers. Including Florence and the Machine, Friendly Fires, Mumford and Sons, Bastille, Clean Bandit, Slaves, Rag’n’Bone Man and London Grammar, to name just a few.
This year, our Main Stage headliners include a Friday night spectacular from Paloma Faith, a Saturday night homecoming show from George Ezra, and on Sunday night the one and only Bryan Ferry is set to close off the festival in style.
So what are you waiting for? You are invited to this amazing summer party. Don’t miss out.
