Started by husband and wife team Sebastien and Marta, Cheeky Burger won Best Burger at the 2016 British Street Food Awards, was a 2018 TimeOut Recommends and has endless customer review love. These burgers are hands-down incredible!

Ingredients (Recipe serves 4)

4 x Brioche burger buns (Warbutons recommended) / 4 x 150g beef patties. From the butchers (mix of rump & rib cap) or any decent ready-made supermarket version. Minimum 15% fat.  / 4 x slices of emmental cheese / Smoky or Spicy Mayonnaise! (Sauce Shop Chipotle Mayo recommended) / Any ketchup / 1 x Pickle, thinly sliced / 1/2 Iceberg lettuce, shredded / 1 x tomato, sliced / Mustard powder / Ground ginger / Salt / Pepper

To Cook

A flat pan / A flat pan lid or tin foil to steam your burger / A burger press or metal bowl / Spatula. Or get the BBQ fired up!

The Dog Show!

It simply wouldn’t be Standon Calling without the beloved annual Dog Show. Whether your dog has perfected a new trick during lockdown, has a super waggily tail, likes an obstacle course or is just plain gorgeous (as they all are) they could be our Best in Show!

It’s easy to enter, simply upload a photo or video of your dog showing off onto Instagram or Facebook.

That’s right, to celebrate Standon Calling’s fifteenth birthday party we are throwing a shindig for partygoers from throughout time.

Festival time!

Festival founder and director Alex Trenchard will be saying “hello” and officially welcoming everyone to Standon Calling at Home from his family home – Standon Lordship.

We’ll take a walk around the beautiful fields of the festival and into the valley. You may even catch a glimpse of the Cowshed!

Plus, we’ll take a look at some of the highlights from years gone by as we get into the festival spirit for our 2020 celebration.

Family Craft Time!

Make it your own

Led by Tara Harris, from Tiny T’s Storytelling & Theatre, we’ll all be making our very own star headbands and disco ball decorations.

Keen to encourage everybody tiny or tall to use their imaginations, Tara will inspire us to create our own unique versions of these joyful accessories. You’ll need the following:

DISCO BALLS: Foam Crafting Balls (Hobby Craft) OR some foil to scrunch up into a ball / Assorted sequins, glitter and anything shiny to stick on! / PVA glue or glitter glue / Tape / A piece of string or ribbon / a pencil / scissors

STAR HEADBANDS: A plain or sparkly headband (Alice band) / Cardboard (any thickness) / Silver or coloured paper / PVA glue or glitter glue / Assorted sequins, glitter and anything shiny to stick on! / a pencil / scissors

He’ll be joining us LIVE from his residence in Singapore to share classic pool-side Groove Garden sounds, showcasing a sublime selection of sunkissed soul, funk, disco and house.

A staple of Standon Calling festival for the last decade we just couldn’t imagine any year (at home or in the fields) without the fabulous Cuban Brothers.

Standon Calling regulars and club night legends Club de Fromage will be bringing us a live DJ set.
