It’s officially Spring which means Summer and Standon are both right around the corner! We thought we’d treat you all to three more fantastic artists just announced for Standon Calling 2019.
The Japanese House
The Japanese House aka Amber Bain is one of Britain’s brightest stars. With her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Good at Falling’ just released, Standoners can expect witness ‘experimental and impressive’ (DIY) sounds at her set at the festival.
Loaded with pulsating hooks and enigmatic tenacious vocals, Annabel Allum oozes charisma and showcases an adept ability to marry folk-style storytelling with snarling fuzzy indie. The Guildford-based singer-songwriter has been backed across tastemaker platforms as one of the most vitally sarcastic voices in the indie scene and is making her Standon debut this summer.
Maven Grace are Mary Douglas-Home, Henry Jack and Tom White, a group of childhood friends drawn back together through music. After a memorable set at last year’s festival (which saw headliner Bryan Ferry write to them afterwards to sing their praises), Maven Grace return with their distinctive haunting and cinematic sound, with a live show that’ll have thousands enticed from the very first note.
