Fresh out of selling out London’s Omera, Emily Burns is set for stardom. We take a look at her journey so far ahead of her poptastic set at Standon.
Having had an early bit of success back in 2013 on the BBC Introducing playlist with her first release, she began to want more – moving to London at just 18 to pursue her career, landing a role as a Receptionist at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios.
Seven Scenes from Last Summer
Emily began carving out her own path and soon signed to label 37 adventures – who released her debut EP “Seven Scenes Last Summer” – listen here!
Adventures to Sweden
Emily then headed to Sweden for writing sessions which resulted in her next single ‘Damn Good Liar’, working with Charli XCX’s producer and, even better, ended up gaining her a support slot on Swedish rising star Tove Styrke UK Tour in November.
After headlining shows in Glasgow, Sheffield and Bristol, as well as the sold out Omeara show, she ended up heading across the globe to Beijing and Singapore earlier this year before she enters her run of UK Festival Dates.
Her latest offering is bound to be part of your soundtrack of your summer – Having being named as one of Line of Best Fit’s One’s to watch earlier this year, we can’t wait to welcome Emily to Standon’s stage on the Friday of Standon Calling 2019!
