Covering ourselves in glory

We love to treat you at Standon and this summer is no different, as we’ve got some of the world’s most exciting tribute acts hitting Hertfordshire. Whether you’re looking for a mosh pit (with a twist) or a late night boogie – we’ve got you covered.

So, what happens when you merge the biggest band of the last 30 years with one of the most revered frontmen in music history? You get Elvana! The quartet had the genius idea of forming a Nirvana tribute band fronted by Elvis. As mad as it sounds – it works like a charm. Vice Magazine have said that “they are the only band worth getting excited about” and we can testify. Ever wondered what it would sound like for Elvis to be belting out Come as You Are? Get your flairs on, quiff your hair and don’t forget the plaid shirt – as grunge meets Graceland.

The She Street Band

After The She Street Band’s bassist Jody Orsborn caught her musical hero Bruce Springsteen headline Wembley in 2016, she was inspired to form the world’s first and only all-girl tribute band for The Boss. Orsborn assembled a group of ladies from all over the globe, united by their love for all things Springsteen. The end result is an incredible tribute act that can count some of Springsteen’s own E Street Band as supporters. With some major festival bookings and rave reviews in the likes of NME and Time Out, these girls will be making you feel like you were born in the USA at Standon Calling 2019.

Fleetmac Wood

Are you a massive Fleetwood Mac fan? Do you love all things techno? Then look no further than Fleetmac Wood – a DJ duo that take iconic tunes from the rockers and reframe them for the dancefloor. This is a treat for any fan as Roxanne Roll and Smooth Sailing take you on a wild hedonistic trip, complete with visuals and banger after banger that caters for house enthusiasts and Mac diehards alike. To top it all off, they have the seal of approval from Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice, who highlighted them as an act she’s looking forward to seeing at Standon this year. So what are you waiting for? Go your own way and get yourself down to the ultimate Mac party.
