FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY
We’re thrilled to announce our full family programme for 2019’s Standon Calling. Joining entertainment pioneers Dick and Dom, the legendary Mr Bloom & His Band and our special jurassic guests How To Train Your Dinosaur we have a jam-packed schedule of fun for all ages.
First up we have the tantalising Jitterbug Circus who’ll be teaching you and your family some tricks. From juggling to balancing pole, hoola hoops, ribbons and beyond get involved no matter your age and ability!
Next, Gunpowder Gertie brings her comedic street theatre show, sparking imaginations as she fires her art cannon whilst Magic Marcus will have you gasping with his spellbinding tricks.
Fancy yourself a singer or dancer? Imajica Theatre will leave you feeling like a star as you learn how to harness your skills in their vocal and dance lessons. Or over at our TAF workshops, learn the art of rap and graffiti guaranteed to get your creative imaginations flowing.
Are you bonkers? Let’s hope so because Kat’s Whiskers Theatre need you! come and take part in a series of mad-capped games that will separate the winners from the wannabes.
Woodland Tribe are back! Build your own adventure park, with our programme that combines wild play, problem solving, creativity and that all important sense of freedom and autonomy for kids as they use proper tools to build their own dens, tree houses, zip lines, tunnels, swings and much more.
Mortimer Nannies return with their tent cosily decked out with fairy lights, comfy beanbags and cushions so the children can snuggle down, listen to a story, play a board game by torchlight or watch a movie. Book now!
And finally – The Library will be offering a quiet zone and workshops by Tamsyn Murray & Alice Hemming, as well as a poetry workshop by Daren Peary.
