Find out what music news has caught our attention this week!

Sam Ryder has a new single!

Time to get the tissues, Sam Ryder has released a heartfelt new single called ‘All the Way Over’ out via Parlophone records. The piano-led chorus coupled with Sam’s unique voice and the stormy themes of love, loss, and heartache make this track incredibly powerful.

The poignant piano ballad will appear on Sam’s debut album ‘There’s Nothing But Space, Man!’, which is due for release on November 18. At SCHQ we are eagerly waiting for this record to drop, and we think it’s just the start of his journey to the top of the pop cosmos!

Special Interest’s new album ‘Endure’

If you don’t already know about Special Interest, get to know! On their exceptional third album ‘Endure’, the New Orleans punk band delve into their sound with a distinctive blend of hardcore and techno. Their raucous and subversive post-punk and 70s glam influences are undeniable in ‘Impulse Control’ and the power ballad ‘LA Blues’.

Talented vocalist Mychelle has released a new single this week, ‘Tightrope’, and stars in the music video. Mychelle is one to watch, having recently played alongside Michael Kiwanuka, Jorja Smith, and George Ezra in support slots following the release of her second EP ‘Someone Who Knows’, which dropped in May. Her healing voice melts gospel, modern R&B, and soul with thoughtful songwriting.
