The Financial Times created a short film which documents our journey in the 16 months that led up to Standon Calling 2021.
The film gives a brilliant understanding of the challenges, risks and rewards of running an independent music festival and the effects of Covid on the entire festival ecosystem. We also hear from the mighty Daði Freyr
Our very own Alex Trenchard, gives an insight into how difficult it is to run a festival at the best of times, let alone in the middle of a global pandemic. This reminds us what incredible feat it was to pull off Standon Calling 2021 under the circumstances (cue the goosebumps and lip wobbles!)
We are so grateful to YOU! In the film, Alex comments on his emotions as he came over the hill to see all of you and we’re sure this is a sentiment that was shared by all.
We couldn’t have done it without our incredible loyal audience, our hard working staff and the talented artists all of whom make our Standon community so special
We’re now looking forward to a magnificent 2022. As an independent business your support is everything to us. Thank you Standoners and see you next year!
